Students will be taught basic footwork techniques and the rules of fencing. Blade techniques will be taught using plastic weapons that are safer and easier for the children to handle.  Metal swords will be introduced after the students have gained confidence with their bladework.  All three weapons (foil, epee, and saber) will be taught so that the student may decide the style that works best for her.

The beginner classes are being held on the following schedule:

  • Sun 2-3 pm, starting February 5th

This class pairs up with the Adult Beginner Class and/or Youth Beginner Class.  Students in this class can also attend those classes that are held on weekdays.  Students in this class may also attend the open fencing times.
